After some attendance in Claire’s delicious morning yoga sessions, she caught onto my aches & pains, and said “when your tired of them, come see me” I’m usually much more stubborn in my ways, and a skeptic, but my gut said go.
From the moment we started going through the main spots that had been giving me a hard time, I felt at ease, and confidence in Claire’s ability to investigate the root causes and deliver information. It made sense to me the system she uses, the Neurokinetic Therapy.
We went through a series of exercises and homework to identify the causes, its fascinating, that my shoulder pain could be rooted from clenching my teeth at night. Or that my knee pain that I thought for 9 years was my cartilage is in fact not, but a ligament that I was never in touch with, all of a sudden from her homework exercises the light was shining down and surfacing some even achier issues that were in dire need of attention.
I went to see Claire for consistent debilitating jaw tension that had slowly begun to take over my life. I had an expert healer who could not find the root cause of the reoccurring tension. I had Western and Chinese medicine doctors tell me it was Post Viral Syndrome that could last for years without a solution. I had given up vinyasa yoga and anything that used my upper body, and I changed my diet which kept me out of pain but still with constant tension that made me irritable and feel not like myself. I went in to try NKT with Claire after a year of no answers. This is the first time I can feel what being relaxed is like again. Claire found that my jaw was compensating for a large portion of my body including some core muscles and I could finally sit up straight again after our first meeting. This method is truly incredible. Claire is absolutely lovely to work with and you get to learn about your body-mind connection in a new and very tangible way. I highly recommend working with her.
